Hi all, I've been looking around for file sharing programs. Winmx is ok and I heard kazas kinda going under. Does anyone know any others?

Use DC++ If your screen reader didn't read the punctuations, it's DC Plus Plus. Anyway, if you go to the following website, there's a section with links to download the software and the scripts for it.

http://library.erik-burggraaf.com

The site's main focus is an audio book file sharing library hub on DC++ that you can email and subscribe to. I don't use a screen reader, but my bf uses Jaws, so if you need help, contact renegade_rocker on the zone

I'm still using kazaa lite. its on www.jfwlite.com I know. and, I use winMX now and again. I love DC plus plus with a passion. But... I'm not at home and I don't have it on this dial up machine.

I might need help with dc++ I've never used it but I'm guessing it is verry accessible?

I in deed do use jaws, and dc++ is very accessible even without the scripts, but they do help a great deel. If you wanna add me to your messenger contact list, I can atempt to walk you through configuring it.

The program at http://library.erik-burggraaf.com is out of date, and the scripts have some problems with later versions (tab doesn't work in some windows). A later version and scripts that work with it are at http://www.panix.com/~ccn/dc.php. Shameless plug.

You're better off at first connecting to random hubs, because that's what I did at first, some you win, and some you lose.

There's that damn word again. "Accessible".

What a word filled with so many grey areas when used so widely as in, an, "accessible application".

So I'm not even going to touch that.

For the record I at times will use DCPlusPlus but for the most part I use Bit Torrent.

One site off the top of my head is,

http://www.torrentsbits.org

You can do a google for others.

Win MX is an easy-to-use File sharing Program. It works well with JAWS, and is Add and Spyware free.

WinMX is the most awesomeest program I found on the net that is actually accessible to VI/Blind people. Warning! DO NOT USE IMESH OR ITUNES!! it will infect your computer with worms, trojans, and nasty viruses that are hard as hell to get rid of.

i use bareshare (www.bareshare.com) wich is pritty good for blind people.
it does come with some spyware, but once you have downloaded the free program, search for bareshare pro, uninstall the free bareshare, and install bareshare pro.
sadly, theres some quite bad files around on bareshare, avoid files with the size 123 kb or there abouts. b3n.
